A stunning win, an unbeaten juggernaut, and a brave fight — Wellington’s Week 9 had everything

Week 9 of the West Somerset Bowls League turned into a full‑blown blockbuster for Wellington’s three teams, delivering triumph, tension, and table‑shaking drama across both divisions. If you’re a Wellington supporter, this was the week to grab the popcorn.

đź’Ą WELLINGTON A: A STATEMENT WIN AT LAST!

After weeks of frustration, near misses, and “how did that not win the head?” moments, Wellington A finally unleashed the performance they’ve been threatening all season — and Ilminster B were the unlucky recipients.

Wellington A stormed to a 10–2 victory, backed by a commanding 55–43 aggregate, in a match that felt like a pressure valve finally bursting open.

They were sharp. They were ruthless. They were hungry.

Every rink fought like it mattered — because it did. This wasn’t just a win; it was a message to Division One:

Wellington A are not done yet.

The table may still show them in the lower half, but the momentum has shifted. The confidence is back. And suddenly, the teams above them are glancing nervously over their shoulders.

🔥 WELLINGTON B: THE UNBEATEN MONSTER CONTINUES ITS RAMPAGE

Division Two’s headline act once again belonged to Wellington B, who marched into Victoria Park B territory and emerged with yet another emphatic victory.

A 10–2 win, a 55–39 aggregate, and a performance that radiated total control.

Nine games. Nine wins. Zero mercy.

Wellington B aren’t just top — they’re obliterating Division Two. Their shot difference is outrageous, their points tally absurd, and their confidence sky‑high.

Promotion is no longer a question. It’s a procession.

The only storyline left is whether they can complete the season perfect.

⚔️ WELLINGTON C: A GUTSY FIGHT AGAINST A PROMOTION CHASER

Wellington C faced a brutal assignment: Taunton Deane B, one of the five snarling contenders in Division Two’s ferocious battle for the second promotion slot.

And Wellington C gave them a proper scare.

Despite losing 2–10, the aggregate was a tight 49–55, and several rinks pushed Taunton Deane B right to the brink. It was the kind of performance that doesn’t move you up the table but absolutely proves you belong in the division.

Wellington C are becoming the team the promotion hopefuls hate playing — stubborn, spirited, and capable of derailing anyone’s season.
