Congratulations to Nick and Sue Channon who defeated Liz and Mike Copping, 15-7, in the mixed pairs final today. It was a close game at first, with the score 7-6 after 9 ends. But Nick and Sue picked up a 6 on the 10th end and there was no way back for Mike and Liz after this. But a word for our gallant losers who did very well to get through to the final, especially given Liz only started playing last summer.
